About Akento
Akento Technology Sourcing, Inc. was founded during the summer of 2004 by Eric Evans. Evans was the founder and president of Creative Consulting Solutions, LLC. CCS had operated in the Bloomington Indiana area for a little over ten years. During that time, Evans succeeded in providing quality customer service and competitive prices to small and medium sized companies in need of technology services. Creative Consulting gradually grew in size and scope as it added staff to enable it to provide web and database development services. As CCS grew, Evans found it necessary to add more staff in order to service the growing market and began a recruiting process that would last over a year to find the brightest and most innovative talent in Southern Indiana. In August of 2004, Evans changed the name of the company and Akento Technology Sourcing was born. This name change signifies a philosophical change in direction for Evans and his staff as they strive to provide the best services possible to a larger group of clientele. By providing the most skilled and experienced staff in the area, Akento is *your* best choice for technology outsourcing.
But what does 'Akento' mean anyway?
Funny you should ask that.... Akento is a word of Japanese origin and has a couple different meanings. As a noun, it is a reference to the general intellectual, moral and cultural climate of an era. However, used as a proper name, it bears reference to Yuriko Akento, a character in a Kabuki play. After being spurned by her adulterous husband, she died and was reborn as a beautiful phoenix, rising from the ashes of her emotionally and physically wrecked body. Today we use the word Akento to signify something new that was born of something old.
